About Me

Howdy there, nice to meet you.

I’m Catherine Blood, a sophomore at Bradley University. I’m currently majoring public relations, with minors in marketing and German. I hail from St. Louis, so that means I love the Cardinals, toasted ravioli, and calling Panera “Bread Co.”

As for my ambitions, I hope to one day work somewhere in the public relations field. Whether writing, posting, creating content, or building relationships– I am interested in all aspects of this faced-paced career.

But, before any good public relations campaign or plan is set into motion, the idea must be pitched first. That ability to put concepts into a set plan is what begins the public relations process. One must be brave enough to make that first pitch, though.

Hence why I named this blog “Making the Pitch.” I also was a pitcher in softball from my early childhood until my senior year in high school, so I understand how important making a good pitch is, both on and off the field.

This is my first experience with this style of blog, so I am looking forward to exploring a new medium and growing as a writer.

Thanks for joining me on this journey. I think it’ll be a good one.
